Uluru accommodation consists of hotels and campgrounds. There is a pretty good choice considering the remote nature of Uluru but, unfortunately, visitors won’t find anything right next to the rock itself.

Not far from the national park entrance is the town of Yulara however, where all the accommodation is located.

The town where the accommodation in Uluru is located is known as the Voyages Ayers Rock Resort.

Situated within Yulara, it boasts hotels and campsites as well as shops, restaurants and other amenities. The options for accommodation near Uluru are camping, the higher-end Sails in the Desert and the Desert Gardens Hotel, the Lost Camel Hotel, the Outback Pioneer Hotel, and the Emu Walk Apartments.

This area is just a shade under 20kms from the rock itself, but it is worth booking accommodation in advance.

There are two campgrounds in Yulara, with the Ayers Rock Resort Campground being the main public one. This is in the south of Voyages Ayers Rock Resort, away from, but within walking distance of, the hotels.

In fact, the whole town can be traversed on foot, and visitors can easily walk between Uluru accommodation and the supermarket, for instance.

There are some high quality hotels here too, Longitude 131° and Sails in the Desert Hotel, although they do come at a premium.

With just 15 tents in total at Longitude 131° is solitude and serenity.

No expense is spared in ensuring your stay is a special experience which nurtures your body, stimulates your mind and liberates your spirit.

Where To Stay at Alice Springs?

The town of Alice Springs is close to Uluru and offers lodgings to everyone from backpackers to upscale travellers, with most Alice Springs accommodation set tourist friendly areas.
